Dementia Care in Glasgow
Within our Dementia Care Home in Lennoxtown our residents get constant engagement and support from both the nurses within our home as well as our activities team who take the time to learn more about their interests. Our activities team work hard to incorporate our residents’ hobbies into our activities programme, whilst coming up with inclusive and engaging dementia friendly activities such as gardening, creating memory boxes and art and craft sessions.
Located at the foot of Campsie Fells, our residents benefit from beautiful views of the hills and wildlife, with vast areas to further explore. We also boast our very own private secure gardens which have seating for our residents to socialise, dine Al Fresco or just have some time alone to read a book. For those with dementia as well as all of our other residents, being able to have access to these outdoor spaces at their fingertips promotes real advantages, providing a calming and tranquil environment.
Within the wider community, residents and their loved ones will find a range of things to do in and around Glasgow, offering them a chance to live an active and enjoyable lifestyle. For those looking for a fun day out, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum offers an educational experience which shows the art and history within a visually exciting way. Just a 25 minute drive away from our care home, there are Glasgow Botanic Gardens. Whether it’s to attend one of the many events or attractions around, seeing the garden for all it’s glory or have afternoon tea, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
