Dementia Care Home Near Glasgow

Springvale is Dementia Care Home in Lennoxtown, near the port city of Glasgow. We take pride in the excellent specialist care services we offer, which include Dementia, Nursing and Respite Care. Our luxury care home also offers a wide range of facilities, helping older people and those living with various health conditions live a full and enriching life.

Our care home located in East Dunbartonshire has its very own separate specialist Dementia Unit. Dementia is an umbrella term that encapsulates a number of conditions that affect people in different ways. There are varying levels of dementia, but all impact the cognitive abilities of those living with it.

What is Dementia Care?

In the early stages of Dementia, signs and symptoms may start with forgetting items and information or struggling to carry out daily tasks. These may include getting ready, cooking, going to appointments and just general navigation when out and about. These signs may be identified by yourself or other family members and this could initiate conversations about whether full-time care such as a care home is the right choice.

At Springvale Care Home we provide Dementia Care in Glasgow and we understand just how difficult it is to not only have these initial conversations but also to make the decision whether to move yourself or your loved one into a care home. Our Home Manager and the rest of the team are always on hand to answer any of your questions and queries and to help determine whether this is the right course of action for you.

An initial assessment can also be arranged whereby we discuss the needs of the potential resident and to see whether our home meets their requirements. We fully understand that no two residents are the same, which is why no matter what care service we provide our residents at Springvale Care Home, they will receive a care plan that is completely tailored to their needs.
