Residents Benefit from Regular Entertainment

Towards the end of February, the residents at Springvale Care Home were joined by a local singer from the Kirkintilloch Miners who put on a small concert for everyone to sing and dance away to. Singers and entertainers from the Kirkintilloch Miners often visit our care home, and it is something our residents thoroughly look forward to.

The afternoon saw both residents and staff alike get their dancing slippers on, as they got up to dance and sing along to the wonderful music. Residents also enjoyed refreshments and conversations with one another as well as the entertainer.

Our activities coordinators at Springvale Care Home make sure to regularly incorporate singing and dancing within our activities programme as it has many mental and physical benefits for our residents. The regular entertainment provided at Springvale Care Home provides our residents with many benefits, including social benefits, improving brain health by relaxing the residents as well as encouraging them to be active, and improving the confidence and interaction within the care home. 

At Springvale Care Home we ensure our residents remain active by continuing to do tasks and hobbies that they love. Whether our residents are listening and dancing to their favourite music, participating in our arts & crafts sessions, or gardening in our beautiful private and secure gardens, we can be sure that there is always something to do at Springvale Care Home thanks to our wonderful and extensive facilities and activities programme.
