Visitors’ Room Allows a Shift in Emotions at Springvale
2020 has been a difficult year for everyone in one way or another owing to the COVID-19 global pandemic. Residents and staff at here Springvale have had to adapt with our priority always being to keep our residents safe whilst offering support, companionship and of course plenty of smiles along the way. We have had to adhere to a number of restrictions and work with the guidelines which has unfortunately meant residents have been unable to see friends and families within the home.
Our visitors’ room has been in place for a number of months and offers the opportunity for our residents and their families to see each other and catch up in a safe environment. Visitors fill out a COVID-19 questionnaire prior to there visit and have there temperature taken on arrival. Visitors enter through a dedicated door from our garden, while residents remain completely shielded behind a clear screen the full width and height of our room. It’s been a fantastic addition to our home and one which has made a big impact for everyone.
The visitors’ room has changed the outlook on visitation drastically, and while residents cannot touch their loved ones, they can see and communicate with them closely and comfortably, which is fantastic for security, happiness and of course well-being.
We would love to welcome you to experience life at Springvale, we are offering a Virtual Tour experience and walk round with our home manager. To find out more call us on 01360 312 765.
