A trip to the Cinema has the power to move and transport you somewhere else entirely. At Springvale Care Home, our dedicated cinema room has been designed to be the perfect space for residents to sit back, relax and spend time making wonderful memories.

Our extensive library of film titles means residents can choose from movies they’ve seen again and again, as well as many new movies; from black and white romantic classics and good old-fashioned westerns, there’s something in our collection that all of our residents and their visiting family members can enjoy together.

Our Cinema Room

Our Cinema Room has become a firm favourite amongst our residents and it’s easy to see why. With a different movie playing almost every night, it’s the perfect place to hang out with friends and family, share a classic title with a fellow resident or get lost in a favourite film alone. Our staff have found that the cinema room is the perfect place to bring everyone closer together, and plays an important role in developing and maintaining a sense of routine.

From the classic black and white films to more contemporary comedies, our extensive library of films means there is something for everyone to enjoy. Whatever our resident’s favourite genre(s) may be, we guarantee we’ll have something that sparks their interest.

We ensure that the selection of films available are regularly updated and added to, so even our most avid film watchers always have something new to sit back and watch.

Our cinema room has been designed to provide residents with the full cinema experience without having to leave the comfort of their home. From a large screen and comfortable seating, to cinema-style refreshments and lots of film titles to choose from, residents can sit back and watch their favourite films.

Each of our residents is welcome to make use of our cinema room as part of their weekly fee. Relatives and loved ones can also join them in using our cinema room, and if requested, we can arrange for residents to enjoy private viewings with friends and family.

We are pleased to be able to offer a variety of titles and genres and we work closely with our residents to learn about their favourite films so that we can make sure that there is a film suitable for everyone. On occasion, we also show special televised events such as sports and national celebrations.
